Antique Late Victorian period Lovely Quality, Large sized and very ornate Sterling Silver fronted on wooden construction sweetheart picture/photo frame in Floral and cross hatch repousse pattern with vacant cartouche at the crown, in very good condition the frame is intact with original glaze and hinged easel type leg support to the reverse with back board intact finished in red moiré silk, the wooden construction to the frame is and intact with leather cladding to the reverse albeit showing some age related wear.
The frame measures 32.5 cm x 24 cm and has a picture window aperture of 21.2 cm x 15.5 cm and is impressed to the silver front with markings indicating Birmingham assay office circa 1899 along with the makers mark for henry Matthews of Vittoria Street, Birmingham.
