This is an unusually large Mauchlineware Box depicting Scenes from Eastbourne, such as the pier. This box has compartments inside which could well be for stamps, so it would probably be a box for letters etc.please see pictures.
It is in good antique condition, it has a few scratches and the paper from the base is worn, as is often the case with these boxes. The inside is clean and unworn, please see photos and judge for yourself.
