Wade Royal Brittania Porcelain Ship's Decanter Vintage 1980s

Paul Hanley

A ship's decanter made in the early 1980s by British company Wade Pottery Group. Around the body of the decanter are four sections of design: A crowned portrait of Admiral Lord Nelson surrounded by Oak sprigs and either side two flags; an image of the ocean, surrounded by chain with anchors, foliage and four life rings and with Royal Navy Traditional Toasts listed beneath; a Rule Britannia crest, surrounded by the national flower/plant emblems for England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales; and finally a Pusser's Rum label flanked by oriental style dolphins. There is a lot of historically interesting history celebrated within the fine detail of this piece. Very good condition, base marked 'Nelson. Finest English Porcelain WADE Staffordshire, England.
