Vintage Mid century Top Quality Sterling Silver Tea Strainer complete with matching drip bowl in well preserved condition, of an ornate design the strainer features a large diameter, pierced bowl finished with a floral gallery lip and decorative terminating arch rest, finished with a turned sycamore handle the strainer sits neatly in its drip bowl when not in use.
The tea Strainer measures 20.5 cm in total length and has a bowl diameter of 7.7 cm with a depth of 2 cm, the accompanying drip bowl measures7.3 cm in diameter and has a depth of 2.5 cm, both strainer and drip bowl are in undamaged condition, just need a gentle clean and polish to shine again.
Both strainer and drip bowl are verbatim impressed with markings indicating Birmingham assay office circa 1962 with the makers mark for Charles S Green & Co ltd of Warstone Lane, Birmingham.
