Antique Early King George V era, Start of the Great War Top Quality Fruit Knife / Fruit Peeler in the Georgian Style, Boasting a Sterling Silver folding blade and finished with a Mother Of pearl Clad body hand etched and detailed with Floral work and a flush set silver cartouche vacant of engraving, the folding peeler fitting is impressed with good clear markings indicating Sheffield Assay Office circa 1914 along with the makers mark for Arthur Staniforth of Holly Street, Sheffield.

The Fruit knife weighs 15.2 grams or 0.48 ounces Troy and when in an open state measures 11.3 cm in length or 4.4 inches, when closed shut it measures 6.5 cm in length or 2.6 inches.
