St Bernard Religious 800 Grade Silver Pendant Charm Vintage Art Deco c1920.



Charming 800 grade silver pendant or charm of St Bernard of Clairvaux (1090 – 20 August 1153), the French abbot and a major leader in the reform of Benedictine monasticism that caused the formation of the Cistercian order. Due to its size it could be hung from a necklace as a pendant or from a bracelet as a charm.
The silver mark can be found to the rear at the base, this reads '800' for 800 grade silver. To the rear it is also inscribed 'Souvenir du Grand St Bernard'. Good crisp detailing to the front please see the pictures.
Size including bale 1.8 x 1.3 cm or 0.7 x 0.5 inches.
Weight 1.4 grams or 0.875 penny weight.
