'Ann Cooke ob 19 June 1809 oct 55'
Symbolising love, wisdom & eternity, this is a fantastic inscribed mourning ring with snakes to the shoulders as well as around the black stone to the centre.
The ring contains 3 snakes in total, one on each side of the shoulder & the other to the front. Both snake heads to the shoulders are not fixed to the ring head, please see the pictures. Good detailing to all the snakes.
The stone to the centre is not known, it is black, of a dull appearance with a crackled surface & not cold to the touch, please see the pictures, it may be a replacement for an original lens as there is some minor glue residue.
The gold has been tested as there are no gold marks. The ring is very slightly misshapen please see the pictures.
