Silver Plated Sarcophagus Shape Lion Paw Footed Tea Caddy Antique Georgian c1810. An exceptional early 19th century piece having a stylish sarcophagus body mounted atop four ornate lion paw detailed feet. The caddy is marked with the crossed arrow mark which attributes it to the Sheffield Assay Office. However, this mark was only used between 1808 and 1816 making it an impressive early piece. The caddy has some light age related tarnishing but is free from any major faults or defects.
