Cute & charming & will make a charming addition to your table, this is a fantastic set of 6 menu or card holders dating from the Edwardian era. They are in the shape of owls with glass eyes.
The silver hallmark can be found to the rear of the base, this is where you see the Chester shield along with the date letter for the year 1905. This is where you also see the makers mark for Sampson Mordan & Co Ltd.
They are in their original presentation box, they sit well in the box but the push button catch is not working, there is wear to the exterior of the box, please see the pictures.
All the owls including the eyes are in good charming order.
Size of each 3.5 x 3.3 x 3.3 cm or 1.4 x 1.3 x 1.3 inches.
