Royal Commemorative Fob to King Edward VI Sterling Silver Pendant Antique Victorian 1893
Collectable English royal memorabilia antique sterling silver watch fob or pendant in the shape of a Maltese cross in memory of the 340 years since the death of King Edward VI in 1553, the last of the male Tudor line. To the top forming the bale is the English lion, with a portrait of King Edward VI to the centre. The English hallmark can be seen to the base Birmingham assay with the date letter for the year 1893. There is also a makers mark for James Fenton. The rear is plain. Traditionally watch fobs can be found hanging from a gentleman's watch chain, but today they are also worn as pendants from a chain. A wonderful little peace of history.
