Antique Early 19th Century Rare Matched Pair of Sterling Silver Fiddle Shell Salt Spoons from the much sought after Newcastle Assay Office, Good Condition for age, no splits or repairs, these being in original condition more or less, the reverse to each spoon terminal is verbatim impressed with good clear markings indicating Newcastle Assay office circa 1810 with the makers mark 'IW' for John Walton (registered c1811) of Painter heigh, Newcastle, Also present is the Duty Mark for King George III.

Each spoon measures 9.6 cm in length.
