Antique King George V era Post Great War Top Quality Pocket Knife or Pencil/Dip Pen Quill Sharpener By The Wonderful Sampson Mordan & Co, a traditional styled piece and with more details than usual by The Sampson Mordan Company no doubt to keep up with the times as styles changed greatly with the emerging Deco Scene, Manufactured in Turned Patterned Sterling Silver with both Yellow and Rose Gold Banding this handsome example is quite the eye catcher and complete with hinged Bale to one terminal so as to serve for when carrying as a fob item.

The Pen Knife features a duo of folding blades each in Sheffield Stainless steel and are still very and keen, the body to the pen knife is verbatim impressed to both sides with good clear markings indicating London Assay Office circa 1920 along with the makers mark for Sampson Mordan & Co of City Road And Regent Street, London.

The Pen Knife Weighs 17.1 grams or 0.54 ounces Troy and, with both fittings extended measures 15.7 cm in length or 6.1 inches, when folded shut and closed the pen knife measures 7.3  cm or 2.8 inches.

A truly fine example by Sampson Mordan especially with the gold banding, a centre Piece to any collection.
