Pewter Tankard belonging to Sir William Gomm Antique Mid 19th Century.

This characterful spouted one pint tankard dates to the mid Victorian period and is made of pewter. The base is scratched with the owners name 'Sir William Gomm'. Gomm was a distinguished Army officer who fought through all the Napoleonic Wars and rose to the position of Field Marshal. It also bears the initials FV to the side.

It is offered in nice original uncleaned condition.
