Dating from a time when mourning jewellery was very popular following Queen Victorian who was plunged into deep mourning at the loss of her husband Prince Albert. This is a fantastic whitby jet set with a seed pearl brooch or pin dating from the mid Victorian period. The seed pearl represents a tear for the lost loved one. The back of the brooch is gilt metal. All in good order please see the pictures. Good secure clasp & pin.
