To  remember a lost loved one, this is a charming Regency mourning brooch pin with brown braided hair inside dating from the late Georgian period. Mourning jewellery as popular during the Georgian & Victorian period as unfortunately the loss of loved ones was more common, the height of popularity of this type of jewellery occurred during the 1860's when Queen Victorian was plunged into deep mourning at the loss of her beloved Prince Albert & her country followed their Queen.
The brooch is 9ct yellow gold, it is marked to the rear 'gold'. The hair seems to be in good order behind the lens, please see the pictures. Good c clasp & pin.
