Charming dark blonde woven hair inside this 15ct yellow gold mourning locket brooch pin dating from the Regency period. At this time, as well as during the Victorian period, mourning jewellery was very important & followed strict rules. Often locks of hair of the person who died were included within the item as is the case with this brooch.
The gold has been tested as there are no gold marks. The hair inside seems to be in good order please see the pictures. Good secure c clasp & pin.
