Large Spode Blue & White Italian Series Transfer Fluted Fruit Bowl Antique c1840. An exceptional fruit bowl example by Spode created as part of the iconic Italian Blue series first introduced in the year 1816. The bowl depicts and idyllic rural Italian scene and has an unusual fluted rim finish. There are some very light grazing cracks running from the rim of the bowl but these are minimal and do little to detract from the piece when on display.
