Large Blue and White Ceramic Pub Mug Antique Victorian
This large blue and white transfer printed pub mug dates to around the mid Victorian period. It depicts scenes of rural England including maypole dancing and rutting and raking the corn. The front bears the details: Gore Inn, Bishops Lydeard (which is in Taunton, Devon). These mugs would have been purchased by the Inns and Pubs for their regulars to use as well as for sale most likely.
Please see images for condition but you can see it does sadly have some condition issues in the form of several cracks and a repair. However as a rare named item it still looks great for display.
