Large Dutch 'Het Klaverblad te Leiden' Tea Tin Antique c1900. An exceptional early 20th century tea tin having a superb yellow and black text colourway throughout. A quirky decorative or storage piece having a wonderful exterior patina. The tea chest was produced and used by Het Klaverbad, a Dutch tea specialist known to be the oldest traders of tea in the world having been founded in 1737. The tin does have some age related surface wear but this is minimal and only adds to the vintage charm of the piece.
