J.S. Goodall Watercolour "Private View at the Royal Academy" Book Illustration Vintage c.1979
This is the original illustration by the artist John Strickland Goodall (1908-1996) which was produced for the book 'An Edwardian Season' Self titled "private view at the Royal Academy" this expertly drawn watercolour and bodycolour drawing on sketchbook paper is full of lively detail. As the book was published in 1979 this watercolour will date to one or two years earlier.
Please see images but this is offered in very good framed condition. The reverse of the frame shows it was shown and sold by the Christopher Wood Gallery, London during an exhibition of Goodall's work in 1985.
