For fidelity, wedded love affection or friendship, the meaning of the ivy leaf in the language of flowers which was very popular in Victorian times when the jewellery worn had hidden meanings. To the centre of the ivy leaf is a seed pearl, the pearl usually has the meaning of a tear for a lost loved one.
This is a fantastic antique 15ct yellow gold stick pin brooch dating from the Victorian period. The gold has been tested as there are no gold marks. The seed pearl is in good order, good straight stick pin please see the pictures.
