From the very collectable assay office Chester, these are a fantastic pair of antique gentleman's cufflinks in 9ct yellow gold with English hallmarks dating them to the late Victorian period. In the language of flowers that was very popular during this time the ivy leaf has the meaning of friendship, fidelity & marriage.
The gold hallmark can be found to the rear of the cuffs, this is where you see the shield for the Chester assay office along with the date letter for the year 1898. The makers mark reads 'A.J.C'. Great detailing to the front please see the pictures.
