Traditionally worn by a gentleman to hang his pocket watch from his waistcoat or jacket, this is a fantastic antique graduating sterling silver watch chain with a watch fob which has a heart detail to the front dating from the late Victorian period. Often today this type of watch chain is worn as a necklace. The links to the chain are marked with an English silver lion, the T bar pendant with the letter 'x' which dates to 1897, the dog clip clasp with the letter 'y' dating to 1898 & the registration mark to the rear of the fob dates to 1898-1899. Good secure dog clip clasp to the one end with a good spring. The watch fob is made from Albo silver, marked to the rear, charming detailing including the heart, please see the pictures. Good graduation to the chain. Fantastic late Victorian watch chain.
