Working in a similar fashion to a key ring, this is a great antique sterling silver hand chased split ring clasp dating from the mid Victorian period. Used to join items of jewellery to another item. The silver has been tested as there are no marks. The clasp has been very slightly sprung to the one side, but the clasp is secure, great detailing to both sides please see the pictures. A wonderful and useful item.
Diameter 1.7 cm or 0.7 inches.
