Traditionally used to hang a gentleman's pocket watch but today used as a chain necklace or a charm bracelet, this is a great antique sterling silver graduating Albert watch chain dating from the late Victorian period with English hallmarks. The links of the chain are marked with the silver lion, but the ring where the T bar pendant connects is where you see the hallmark, Birmingham assay with the date letter for the year 1896, the same date letter can be seen to the T bar. The T bar is a short distance along the chain, to the other end is a secure dog clip clasp with a good spring. This chain just fits around my neck. A wonderful antique chain.
