Graduating Double Albert Watch Chain Necklace Vintage 1929 Chester English Hallmark Art Deco.
From the very collectable assay office Chester & dating from a time when every well dressed gentleman would wear a watch chain this is a fantastic 9ct rose gold graduating double albert watch chain with an English hallmark dating it from the Art Deco period.
The full gold English hallmark can be found to a link along the chain, this is where you see the shield for the Chester assay office along with the date letter for the year 1929, the other links of the chain have a simple gold mark. Both dog clip clasps are marked '9 .375', the T bar also has this mark along with the makers mark 'CWSLd' for Cooperative Wholesale Society Ltd.
To each end of the chain you find a dog clip clasp, both are secure with a good spring. The chain is of a rose gold colour & a curb link. It could be used traditionally as a watch chain or worn around the neck as a chain necklace.
