French Brass Louis XIV Jetton Coin Antique c. 17th Century

A brass jetton or token designed by Conrad Laufer, featuring the bust of Louis XIV 'The Sun King' on the obverse and a coat of arms with three fleur de lis on the reverse.
Historically, a jeton -  or jetton - was at first just a counter, then some sort of small medal and finally more like a token.


Diameter: 2.8 cm / 1.1 inches.

Weight: 3.3 grams / 2.2 dwt.
