Fine Flintlock Fire Tinder Lighter Antique 18th Century

This fine antique fire tinder lighter dates to the 18th Century. As was the fashion at the time it has been made in the style of a flintlock pistol. You would light the candle on the side from the spark of the flint and it then be placed on a table or carried around to light other candles from. It bears a makers or owners name stamped on the side. As this was never a true flint lock as such it has no way of firing anything, just merely creating a spark.

Please see images but it is offered in good antique condition.
