Fantastic hues of blue, green and orange to this cabochon cut fiery opal in this 9ct yellow gold brooch or pin dating from the late Victorian period. The gold has been tested as there are no marks. To the rear is a safety chain, but no clip to the end, please see the pictures. The opal has a tiny chip to the base on one cutting edge, this does not detract as it is not visible to the naked eye being at the base of the stone, and has no effects on the colours within the opal, please see the pictures. In my opinion this brooch would make a wonderful addition to any collection.
