This is a lovely English Victorian antique sterling silver sugar sifter by Mappin & Webb dated Sheffield 1896.
Sugar sifters are small ladle-shaped spoons which could be used at the table to take the powdered sugar from sugar bowls or sugar baskets and sprinkle it over fruit, puddings or cakes.
Size 2.9 x 15.1 x 5 cm or 1.14 x 5.94 x 1.96 inches.
Weight 32 grams or 20.57 penny weight.
