Emerald & Clear Paste Buckle 9k Gold Back Front Pendant Locket Antique Victorian c1890



Charming antique double mourning locket in 9ct yellow gold back & front with emerald green & clear paste detail to the front & a buckle to the rear dating from the late Victorian period. The locket is a double & at present has mourning hair behind the lens.
The belt buckle represents eternity, fidelity, loyalty, strength and protection, as it curves around and threads back into itself, creating an eternal loop, it threads through the buckle and tightly overlaps itself.
The back & front gold is not marked. The stones to the front are paste, 1 clear stone is missing & there is wear / nibbles to others on close inspection, great emerald colour to the green stones. To the centre of the buckle the locket is inscribed with the initials 'E.M'.
Good hinge & the locket shuts securely. Inside both slips & lenses are present with hair behind one lens. Minor dings to the border of the front, good crisp detailing to the rear please see the pictures.
