Egyptian Revival Bakelite Iridescent Glass Beads Sterling Silver Pendant Necklace Vintage Art Deco c1920.
From a time of exciting discoveries in Egypt with the opening of the tombs in The Valley of the Kings. When the tomb of Tutankhamun was discovered by Howard Carter in 1922 & the stunning gold death mask was displayed to the world everything Egyptian was the must have. Jewellery reflected this fashion & this dangling pendant necklace is a great example.
The necklace has a sterling silver chain necklace to the rear which has been tested as there are no marks. Good secure bolt ring clasp with a good spring. To the top of the pendant is 2 iridescent glass beads which do have knocks & scratches see pictures, the 2 base pendants are bakelite & are in good order see pictures.
