Crescent Moon Fob 9k Gold Double Watch Chain Antique Victorian English 1879 Hallmark.

Fantastic English double albert watch chain dating from the year 1879, with to the centre a pendant fob of a crescent moon on its side with a blank shield above.
The English gold mark can be found to the link where the T bar & fob join the chain. You find the anchor mark for the Birmingham assay office with the date letter 'e' for the year 1879. The other links of the chain have a simple gold mark & so does the T bar & both dog clip clasps. To each end of the chain you find a dog clip clasp, both of which have good springs, but one clasp has a small gap when closed see pictures.
Unusual design to the pendant fob, both sides are blank. It is to the rear you find the English hallmark, again you see the anchor for the Birmingham assay office but with the date letter 'c' for 1902, there is also the makers mark 'SHS'. The chain is long enough to be converted into a chain link necklace.
