Crescent Moon Detail with Dangling Pendant Brooch Pin 15k Gold & Seed Pearl Antique Victorian c1860.
Simply stunning, this is a fantastic 15ct yellow gold necklace studded with seed pearls in a crescent moon design with a detachable dangling pendant which can be worn as a brooch pin dating from the Victorian period. The crescent moon has the meaning of 'rebirth'.
The necklace is 15ct gold which has been tested as there are no marks, the pin may be a later addition as it is marked '14k' to the rear. All the seed pearls are present & in good order please see the pictures.
The brooch is attached to the necklace by a hook to the rear centre of the pendant. The brooch hanging bale folds into the rear of the brooch making it invisible when worn as a pin. Good secure clasp & pin. The necklace is secured by a tongue & box clasp which is secure, with added peace of mind of a safety chain.
