Charming & fun vintage sterling silver book or page mark with a cockerel or rooster to the top. The cockerel is the symbol of the French people, because of the play on words of the Latin gallus meaning Gaul and gallus meaning coq or rooster.
The English hallmark can be found to the rear, this is where you see a lion head for the London assay office along with the date letter for the year 2006. The makers mark reads 'DS'.
