Chinese Bronze Double Gourd Censer Antique c1900.

Andrew Tabona

A fabulous Chinese bronze censer. Dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. Censers or incense burners have been used for many centuries by many cultures and civilizations for burning perfume or incense in solid form. This example is missing its gauze from inside. It is wonderfully decorated with three tripod legs in the form of beasts with their tongues hanging out. A good looking thing.
