Chester Assay Office 15k Gold Cufflinks Antique Victorian 1896 English Hallmark.



Stunning pair of 15ct yellow gold gentleman's cufflinks with ivy leaves to the front from the very collectable Chester assay office. The gold hallmark can be found to the rear, it is a little obscured, see pictures but the Chester assay office is clear along with the date letter for 1896. The maker is 'C&A' which is also marked to the rear of the cuffs.
The ivy leaf has the meaning of friendship, fidelity & marriage in the language of flowers which was very popular in the Victorian period.
Size of cuffs 2.2 x 1.0 cm or 0.9 x 0.4 inches.
Length of links 1.7 cm or 0.7 inches.
