Arcadianware Crested Ware 'Model of Bill Syke's Dog' Vintage 1930s

This example of Arcadian crested ware dates to around the 1920s or 30s and is titled 'a model of Bill Syke's dog' (from Oliver Twist). It is well modelled and the back has a printed image of St Catherine's Church, Gorseinon and the words "My Word if you're not off".

This is one of the nicer examples of this bull dog we have seen. It is offered in good original condition with just a very fine hairline fracture to the back by the image of the church.

Dimensions: height 6cm or 2.4 inches; length 10cm or 3.9 inches; width 5cm or 2 inches
