9k Rose Gold Watch Chain Necklace 68.2cm / 26.8" Antique English Edwardian Chester 1919.
Amazing length to this fantastic antique 9ct rose gold double albert watch chain dating from the Edwardian era, a time when every well dressed gentleman would use these chains to hang their pocket watch from his jacket or waistcoat. Today as pocket watches are not popular so these usually chunky chains are converted into a bracelet or in this case can be worn as a necklace.
All the links are marked gold, some of these marks are rubbed, but approx to the middle of the chain is the Chester shield assay office mark along with the date letter for the year 1919.
To each end of the chain you find a dog clip clasp. Each clip has a simply gold mark. Both clips are secure with a good spring. The chain also has a T bar pendant which slides along the chain, this also has a simple gold mark. The makers marks are different on the each component.
