Antique Late Victorian period Top Quality Sterling Silver Sweet meat Fork of a very ornate design and in original condition more or less, the fork appearing to have seen little or no use in its long life.

The Fork features a quad pronged terminal, barley twist stem and tapered Scottish Thistle Terminal engraved with a wealth of closed gallery floral work enclosing a stylised Gothic Shield Cartouche vacant of engraving.

The Reverse to the fork terminal is impressed with good clear markings indicating Birmingham assay office circa 1899 along with the makers mark for G.E Walton & Co Ltd Hylton Street, Birmingham.

The Fork measures 11 cm in length or 4.3 inches and weighs 10.4 Grams or 0.33 Ounces Troy.

This Lovely Fork Makes for a fine collectible piece of flatware that will serve for a variety of uses and even for a period Bisque or Bru Dolls Accessory as was popular during the late 19th and early 20th Century.
