6 Pence Coin Pendant Charm Sterling Silver Double Albert Watch Chain Vintage Art Deco English 1927.
Dating from a time when every well dressed gentleman would hang his pocket watch with this type of chain from his jacket or waistcoat, this is a fantastic sterling silver double albert watch chain dating with English hallmarks from the Art Deco era. Both sides of the chain graduate well. Today these types of chain can be used as a necklace or a bracelet. The 6 pence coin pendant charm dates from the year 1891.
Each link of the chain is marked with a silver lion, but to the connecting link as well as the T bar & both dog clips you see the date letter 'C' for the year 1927, the connecting link also marked with an anchor for the Birmingham assay office.
To the each end of the chain is a dog clip clasp, both are secure with a good spring. One chain is approx 0.6 cm shorter than the other. The 6 pence coin charm would benefit from a light clean but the date of 1891 can still be read & the detail of the coin is visible please see the pictures.
