A stunning 18ct sapphire and diamond ring, in a classic late Victorian 'gypsy' style. The front of the ring is claw set with five alternating old-cut sapphires and diamonds. The diamonds weigh approximately 0.07ct each, and the sapphires approximately 0.10ct each. The sapphires are a beautiful and desirable deep inky blue hue, enhanced by the captivating sparkle of the diamonds.
The ring has a wonderfully clear hallmark, showing the ring was hallmarked in London in 1890. It is in very good antique condition, with general wear and tear and scratches to the metal. The claws are in situ but have been worn quite flat. Please see the photographs for more details.
