An 18ct gold ring dating back to the 70's, set with a single solitaire diamond. The diamond is a round brilliant cut weighing approximately 0.25ct, with fabulous sparkle. The diamond is set in the popular illusion setting, cased within a larger white gold collet to give the illusion that the diamond is of a larger size. The diamond setting is in white gold, attached to an18ct yellow gold shank that widens at the shoulders to 5 mm.
The ring has a large clear hallmark Birmingham, 1976. It is in good vintage condition, with general wear and tear and scratches to the metal. The diamond setting is slightly worn.
