Antique Late 19th Century Lovely Quality Cast Bronze Mount or escutcheon plate for a water feature (likely a fountain spout or font cover or similar) featured as a Lions Head, the mouth to the lion being open and featuring a hole to allow fluid to come forth.
In Excellent condition and with the bronze having a wonderful aged patina this fantastic example measures 11 cm in diameter or 4.3 inches with a depth of 4 cm or 1.4 inches, the reverse to the mount features four holes so as to serve for when securing the item at a desired location.
A Fine Antique piece that will serve for a variety of decorative uses including as originally intended.
