Antique Sterling Silver Half Hunter Pocket watch featuring a top winding movement with crown setting, of a classic design the pocket watch features a turned back and central shield cartouche, front case a bulls eye crystal with black enamel Roman Chapter gallery surround, dial proper is in white enamel, again with Roman chapter gallery display and is intact with blued steel hour and minute hands with sub-seconds, dial as with the watch movement palette is signed for James Walker, London, makers to the Admiralty, the watch palette is a three quarter plate affair in heavily gilded brass, has a 7 jewel setting with weighted balance and lever escapement.
In Very good condition throughout the watch takes a full wind and runs strong, will need attention however as it runs slow, no doubt due to the regulator setting.
The watch case is marked throughout for Birmingham assay office circa 1924 with the makers mark for Aron Lufkin Dennison, this being a Dennison 'Special' model, Top Quality.
The watch when laid flat including suspension bale measures 7 cm x 5 cm x 1 cm in dimension, the watch is presented in a period leather clad, fitted jewellers box with namesake for 'Bravington's'..
