Folk Art Slab Ware Pottery Money Box Yorkshire Antique 19th Century
This lovely folk art moneybox has been made out of pottery using the slab method. It dates to the 19th Century and is hand inscribed on the side as being a cottage from Leeds (which according to google maps is sadly no longer standing). The detailing is very good and the red and green highlight glaze to the roof just sets it off. It even comes with a coin inside! This has a few age related losses and chips.
Dimensions: 17.3 x 11 x 13.5 cm or 6.8 x 4.3 x 5.3 inches.
