Ivy Leaf Sterling Silver Double Pendant Locket English Antique Victorian 1893.



'I cling to you' fantastic English antique sterling silver double pendant locket with ivy leaves to the front dating from the late Victorian period. The ivy leaf has the meaning fidelity, wedded love, affection & friendship in the language of flowers.
The English hallmark can be found to the rear, this is where you see an anchor for the Birmingham assay office along with the date letter for the year 1893. The makers mark reads 'J.C' probably for John Clifford. Good hinge to open & the locke snaps shut securely. Inside both slips & lenses are present, there is a picture of a baby to the one side & a locket of hair to the other. Requires an additional bale ring to hang from a chain.
Size 2.6 x 2.2 cm or 1.0 x 0.9 inches.
