Fantastic and very unusual antique Georgian pearlware nursery plate commemorating the marriage of Queen Caroline to King George IV in 1795. Caroline of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel was Queen of the United Kingdom and Hanover from 29 January 1820 until her death in 1821, being the estranged wife of King George IV. This is a fabulous rare piece of history that would make a perfect gift or addition to any collection. The item is in good condition with minor signs of wear consistent with age and use - no markings or cracks - slight fading to the writing.
