WW2 Commemorative Embroidered Panel '14th Division' Vintage c1945

Rebecca Shelton-Agar

This interesting little WW2 commemorative panel relates to the British 14th Division and as dated for 1945 was probably made around that time. Clearly hand embroidered using silver thread onto silk this was probably done by a loved one of someone within the division or sold within Burma as a souvenir. The 14th are commonly known as the 'Forgotten Division' as they are often forgotten from the media and histories but saw service in Burma and India.

This is offered in as found condition.
