Large Horn Powder Flask Antique 18th Century

Large Horn Powder Flask Antique

This larger sized powder flask has been made from an animals horn (probably ox) and dates to the late 18th century to early 19th Century. There is a cut out in the horn where an owners name in metal probably sat. It is a slightly better example than most as the eyelet to hold the rope at the base is carved from the horn rather than just an iron loop on the base as standard.

It is offered in good original condition with a great patina and would look nice hung on a wall for display.

Dimensions:  length 36 cm or 14.2 inches
